We also assist the legal industry in determining economic impacts of government based insfrastructure projects, ‘market driven’ economic assessments using a variety of strategic tools.

Regional, community and neighbourhood shopping centres

We excel at identifying expansion potential, remerchandising, highest & best use development strategies, investment due diligence, economic impact assessments and market studies for numerous types of shopping centres situated in various sized communities throughout western Canada., U.S. and Australia (specific centres and clients available upon request).

Fraser River Discovery Centre, New Westminister, B.C.

We completed a market & financial feasibility, economic impact, financing options, and merchandising strategy for this eco-museum complex.

Gulf of Georgia Cannery, Stevenson, B.C.

We created a market and socio-economic impact study and management plan to assess the opportunity for a significant visitor attraction in the village of Stevenson, to be self-financing upon completion. This is a national historic parks site and the work was prepared for Parks Canada.

West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton, Alberta

A market, financial analysis, cash flow projections and economic impact study was completed for the four entertainment/theme park components that include: world’s largest indoor waterpark; extensive family amusement park; Aquarium/dolphin Park; and themed miniature golf attraction plus the uniquely themed Fantasyland hotel.


Pacific National Exhibition (PNE), Vancouver, B.C.

An economic impact assessment of the 17-day Fair as well as the PNE’s year-round facilities situated on lands leased from the City.

Whistler Village, Delta Hotel, Anchor retail tenant

We completed a due diligence and impact analysis from development changes to the Whistler’s original hotel. This project included litigation work to examine how construction to this tenant’s exterior impacted the business viability of its operations.

Highest & Best Use Development Potential for land in the West bank area, near Kelowna, BC

We assessed an extensive land parcel for its development potential at the time of partial taking for the Ministry of Transportation & Highways. Evaluated its site and locational attributes, market conditions, recent development trends for residential, commercial, industrial, and resort development potential.

Litigation Studies /expert witness for various real estate parties & retail businesses across western Canada

We prepared studies for both government parties and private sector litigation lawyers, some of which involved expropriation matters. (Detailed list available upon request)
